TBI is gone what now with the ECM and harness?
i want to remove the intire ecm and harness i started by taking all the wire loms off, theres alot of wires that run back and forth, where the ecm was bolted there where 3 things i unpluged 2 of witch went to the ECM the other one under the dash, what is the 3rd one ALDL? has anyone pulled the harness before i would really like some help thanks

Just start cutting, the 3rd plug is the ALDL, speed signal, power feed and a few other ECM specific wires. Hopefully you have switched to a mechanical advance distributor as you need the ECM for the stock one to do anything other than lock the timing at your base timing untill 2000 rpm and then add 20deg. This was a sort of "limp home mode" built into the stock dissy.
You should be able to seperate the TBI and chassis harnesses under the hood. Thre really shouldn't be any intermingling.

thanks for the reply, i bought a new HEI adjustable vacuum advance distributor i should be fine right? my gauge cluster is mechanical but is there anything runing to it wire wise that will get messed up? thanks agine

The guages use seperate sensors, so you should see which once run into the chassis wiring on the drivers side and which ones run into the ECM wiring on the passenger side.
