i just put a new fuel pump and filter, injectors. new gas and i wont idle at all unless my foot is on the gas. I'm checking the cat rite now. Wat else can it be? the car was sitting for 4 years? how will i know if it is the cat? or sum thing else plz help me out

 

id pull a couple spark plugs and check'em out, look for wires arching, check vaccum lines, fuel pressure.. if its the cat it will probably get REALLY hot maybe turn red.

 

when my cat was clogged, i took a ride not knowing it was clogged of course but yea when i went for the ride and got off the highway and poped the hood my headers where cherry red so i was like ok umm wtf and couple days later it wouldn't take any air or fuel down the intake mani so a light went off and i knew right away it was a clogged cat. but what im trying to get at is its probably not the cat because mine never did what you are saying. and actually i got a idle problem after taking out the cat, and it wont idle on its own when its cold olny when i drive it first.
