Well I finally got off my **** and got another TBI project underway. My monte has popped another junk yard motor so it's sitting untill I can put some real money into it. In the mean time my brother and I have been swapping the TBI setup onto his 85 SC turned IROC. You can check out some pics of the car https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/auto...ml#post3416445. We'll get some better pictures up that hopefully have some tire smoke in them. The car was originally a LG4 base model car that he's modified quite a bit. He has been wanting something a bit more drivable and that got better mileage so a TBI swap was the natural swap.

350 2-bolt block .060 over
Flat top pistons
vortec heads modified for lift
GMPP vortec carb intake
headman headers and y-pipe
iroc mid pipe and turbo style muffler
2" 454 TB with 70 lb/hr injectors at 22 psi
open element air filter
204/214 flat tappet cam
3.23 posi rear
700r trans with trango kit

We just got it fired off and running without the knock sensor, O2 sensor, or working aldl port.....yeah I know I'm a hack. Believe it or not with just a few quick changes in the chip my old 350 tune ran it quite well. It already has more bottom end than the carb had. We'll be getting the rest of the sensors hooked up shortly and get some serious tuning done.

We are hoping for mid 13's and 25 mpg, which shouldn't be too hard. Once we get that done I'm going to talk him into a meaner cam and better exhaust and aim for 12's.
