k, finally got a v8...now i need some help
i started switching plugs and i did about 2 also cap and rotor.....went for a drive and now my car just stalls out when i get off the gas but when i get on the gas i get lots of blk smoke and stall... my check engine light is now on. wth?

What exactly was done? New plugs, wires, and cap and rotor? If so, check teh firing order. Sounds like you crossed some wires.

more info , just exactly what did you do prior to this ? sounds like someone pulled a boo , boo . thats the best way to learn , by your own mistakes . no flame , but any day with out learning at least one new thing is a wasted day . Supreme Member

Which plugs did you change? Did you disturb anything around the distributor when you changed the cap and rotor? Are you sure the firing order is correct? It sounds like the firing order may be way off, or something was knocked loose when you were working on the car.
