tuning with new heads
i am thinking of geting new heads for my LO3 but I am thinking just about some 305 TPI heads for cheap. If I put the 305 TPI heads on would it need a tune and what about if I put them on with the lt1 cam

Without any port work it is almost a wash to swap 187's for 081's (or 416's). With porting it is a different story. Ported TPi heads with an LT1 cam would be a great set-up. However, ported 187's will also work nicely. In the end your final combo will depend on how well you can PROM tune.
