Took the fuel pump out of my 1992 Z28 with the 5.7 engine. Looks like the original pump. There was no fuel pump pulsator. Did these cars have one? Is it needed? Thanks.

First off, this is in the wrong forum. Next, what do you mean "Pulsator"? The fuel pump primes for a few seconds by the ECM on initial turn of to the to the "on" position.
Did you have no fuel pressure at all? On your Z, theres a schrader valve (looks like a tire valve stem) on the fuel rail that allows easy connection of a fuel pressure gage. Or fuse and relay can make a pump not run.

First off I made a mistake; posted for the wrong car. It is a 92 RS Camaro with a 5.0. I was using a pump for Z28 5.7. Upon further research it appears the 5.0 cars did not use a fuel pump pulsator.
PS
Fuel pump pulsator is what the parts stores I use (Advance, AutoZone, Oreillys, Rock Auto call it. Goes between the pump and the outlet line in the tank.

the best place for the pulsator is in the trash can. they caused more problems than they solved.
the high pressure fuel line & clamps that should have came in the box with the new pump will work fine.

My car did not have one on it stock.
A word to the wise, check the little rubber line that connects the hardline to the pump, where the pulsator would be. I put in a whole new fuel pump, only to find that little line had burst, causing my loss of fuel pressure. for $0.30 you can get a new rubber line to go there, its worth replacing it for piece of mind.
