Fuel Pressure

I have a 92 rs 305 tbi all oem, it takes a long time to start when cold, it runs fine after starting most of the time, every now & then it will wanna die, when i have driven it for a while & shut it off & restart it, i sometimes have to keep pressing the gas to keep it from dieing.

It is getting gas & spark when starting from cold, for the past few mornings I've just sprayed some carb cleaner in the tbi before starting from cold & it starts on the first try.

I also have code 44 which is o2 sensor sensing lean condition.

Do u guys think it is the pressure regulator or the fuel pump, I already put on a new filter & that didnt help.

Also I read somewhere on her that someone made there own fuel pressure gage, anyone know how to do that???

Re: Fuel Pressure

I don't know anyone who likes the stock pumps on these cars. Every TBI I work on (for myself or others) the pump gets replaced with either a stock TPI or Vortech pump. The TBI regulator works fine with it.
