Starting Problem
1990 305 TBI. Plenty spark, plenty fuel to TBI unit, but nothing from injectors. Tomorrow, they will spray fine again - intermittent injector issue.. I pulled a code 23 off the ECM - "Low temperature at manifold air temperature sensor OR Throttle position sensor error". Injectors are not that old, and like I said, they do spray fine (when they do).
Would a bad TPS stop car from starting regularly?

Re: Starting Problem
There are 3 wires on the TPS - the gray one reads full voltage with key on (like 4.7 volts). The blue one reads like .75 volts with key on, and it runs up to 4.7 volts as the throttle is turned to WOT. I didn't check the black one - I assumed it was a ground. That tell ya anything?
----------
I'm just at a loss - it will crank and run like 1 hour from now. And it will drive, and just fine and normal. Then, it'll die anywhere from 20 minutes to an hour later. And it won't restart for an hour, then the cycle continues. At first I thought FP relay, but I bypassed the relay, and straight wired the socket (orange to grey wires at relay) so the pump runs constantly - and I can see the gas going into the TB unit at my small inline filter. But it acts like there's no gas when it won't crank, and it acts like it stopped getting gas when it dies.

Re: Starting Problem
What about the IAT - that's the little sesnor in the air cleaner housing, right? That's the equivalent to what the codes refer to as a MAT right? Would that keep it from cranking?

Re: Starting Problem
OK - I double checked for spark - took the coil wire off the cap, stuck a bolt in it, held it close to the terminal on dist. cap. I get spark jumping sometimes (car starts then), and sometimes not (when car won't start). This means a bad coil or ignition module, right? Isn't the ignition module testable in some fashion? Maybe Advance/Autozone can test for me?
