Searching for discontinued "NOS" brand Nitrous system for CFI
Hi all,
Holley's NOS label used to make a Nitrous syetm for my '82 Trans Am's EFI, which is the classic Crossfire TBI.
Now, take a moment everyone to, (in your heads), go through all your comments about the crossfire and let's just jump right to the actual question if we could. That'd be swell, thanks.

So, as I was saying, NOS made a kit for the Crossfire, but discontinued it in 2004 due to lack of demand. I have the part numbers for all of the individual pieces that went into the kit, as well as the kit itself, and I want to see if anyone might now where I can pick one of these up. There's gott'a be some New-Old-Stock units out there on a shelf in some mom/pop store somewhere. Or even maybe a used kit if it's in good shape...
The info from NOS as to the kit numbers themselves are as follows:
The half-kit part number is:
NOS Cross Fire System, NOS P/N 125NOS
NOS Cross Fire System, NOS P/N 125NOS
The full-kit part number is:
NOS Cross Fire System, NOS P/N A5131-SNOS
NOS Cross Fire System, NOS P/N A5131-SNOS
I'll take either one if anyone knows where to find it. YearOne has this listed in their catalog as P/N NX82, but when I called them they said that they actually can't get it (as NOS discontinued it) and that they sold their last one years ago. Might be a good idea to remove it from your catalog guys.

Thanks again for any help that you can offer folks!

wow interesting never knew they sold a kit for it. you could probably make your own kit with 2 nozzles 1 for each throttle body.

Yeah, the kit was only offered from 2001-2004, and at the time, I didn't know one existed either. I found out about it over the summer and after a call over to Holley, they sent me over a .pdf of the instruction manual and parts list, (see below), but I've had no luck trying to find it.
A lot of the parts are still available seperately at Jegs, (Summit had nothing), but some pieces, such as the foggers, tubing and tee's are not. I know I can work around the tubing, but other things may become an issue if I try to piece it together. So, I've been holding out hope that I might find an old kit somewhere.

ok seems simple enough except what the nozzles mount to i dont understand. if you wanna try something unique thatd work you can buy in the classifides here a member named reputation is selling a dual fogger nitrous kit and has exactly what you need you just need to custom mount the nozzles your own way kinda like what he did but x2.

It looks like you could assemble the kit using the part numbers shown in the illustration, either directly from NOS or cobbling the parts from eBay.
You might also post that illustration & question over at the Crossfire Vault website.

hmm if i remember my cousins cfi arent those injectors really close to the throttle body opening so close to where you can really fit anything under them? if so i think thatd be even more of a tougher setup than i though. might be easier to tap into the intake manifold especially since its 2 pieces and use 2 foggers on opposite sides. i think that might work and be easier to setup.
if i were you id do the intake manifold just make sure theyre placed in spots thatll evenly distribute the nitrous/fuel mixture. also they wont become more of a wall for the throttle bodies blocking them off even more than they already are.

his kits nice and complete and its for a good price too. if anything youd need a nut or 2 to weld.
Re: Searching for discontinued "NOS" brand Nitrous system for CFI
no nut, the kit has both bulkhead fittings to mount the nozzles. all you would need to do really is splice the "tee" into the main feed line and thats pretty easy. you could have a fp gauge on the cowl with it too.

Xanath you might want to keep an eye on Ebay.NOS made plates for the single barrel 400 series TBI but they been discontinued also.I've seen them twice on Ebay but one went price crazy and the other I had an emergency come up.Kdrolt has the right idea as there are a few on the Crossfire Forum that have NOS setups on thier CFI motors.
