mild lag out
ok I just got my new camaro back together, its got a truck 350 (2-bolt main) tbi. I got the car 4 $100 cause the trans was shot, flex plate sheared off, most of the gfx gone and no oil pressure, no exhuast, and alot of smoke.
got a new trans with shift kit and servo's, shorty headers into true dual side pipes tucked behind the gfx. added a full accel pack minus the 300+, injector spacer, knocked the ridge off the tb, got rid of the air cleaner spacer and added an open cleaner, a/c and smog delete, egr and evap are blocked off but there cause I wasnt sure how it would act. now 4 the problem.........
idles great runs damn smooth ( still got like 1 or 2 valve seals leaking) but when I punch it its starts out alil slow then takes off, I mean my cutlass carbed v6 has better response. but oce the camaro realises I got the pedel down it rips *** and gets the 275/50/15's spinnin I mean spins um like theyre butter, it passes my buddy's 350 tpi camaro (he has about the same up-grades + the intake and rear suspension) but y is it lagging when I hit the gas, cause it already has me wanting to swap on my fuely heads, intake 750 holley and msd dist, I mean I went fi 4 the response,
any ideas? add fuel preassure, advace it a lil more? add the egr or evap back?
I am new to FI upgradeing but have been doin carbs for years now ever since I got outta auto school

Re: mild lag out
I am by no means an expert but have you checked the EGR? I've been told that if the bore in the EGR sensor is too big, this kind of behavior could happen. This would mean that you actually messed with your EGR but I don't know. It could also mean that there is a problem in that area to begin with.
Re: mild lag out
Eventhough your mods are mild, i have a feeling it is in your tune. Check out the stickies and read up and do the tune yourself. It is very gradifying when you nail the tune and know you did it yourself.
Good luck

Re: mild lag out
the egr is disconnected but there, so I should try and hook it back up and see if it works?
I can live with the prob if it's in the comp tune cause about the end of next month I will be bolting on my fuelie head and performer intake with the tbi adaptor and lt1 hotcam. if it wil continue runnin long enough to get 40 miles i got a place that's gonna custom do me a chip. but I may be short on fuel,
could that maybe be part of it that it has more air in and out but still the same fuel?

Re: mild lag out
That is exactly what it is, specificly pump shot. You need to tune it.
