which engine block is best
well im going back and forth on this im looking into dropping a rebuilt engine in the car i want to go 350 tbi. wich is the best block to get for it, casting numbers would be great for you guys who have done this job. i want to just move up to a 350 and start off as a base from there i will not be doing anything crazy yet. ive seen lots of websites selling rebuilt engine for a good price i just dont want to mess with the whole junkyard and hope to find a good block and then rebuild. like i said im going to keep it basic just moving up toa 350 and i have read the 305 to 350 swap i just need to get a good engine now thanks alot guys

a good BLOCK is a 70's 010 block with the high nickel content. but if you want just a solid crate motor, a zz4 would be pretty good 355/405... sounds good to me!

Nowadays, the only way to go is with a roller block. Anything less and you're just selling yourself short.

Condition is far more important than casting numbers, metallurgy, or anything else.
