New guy with a couple questions
New guy with a couple questions
Well I am going to be picking up a 91 rs with the 305 tbi this weekend and I am thinking about some performance mods for it. I would like long tube headers, maybe true duals, small cam, open element air filter, and maybe some nitrous. Do you guys think I will need to have the computer chip reprogramed. If I keep the car long enough I would like to swap in a lsx series motor and the 6 speed but for now I want to work with what I got.
Re: New guy with a couple questions
dont even bother with all that crap for the 305. in the end you will STILL have a car slower than newer STOCK cars.
best bet is to spray the ***** of it.
id go into details but im not even gonna bother because i know some tard is gonna come in here and argue with me.

eventually. go for the lsx. and a turbo.

What a remarkably closed minded response.
redline, go for a full exhaust, i mean full headers y high flow cat and cat back, an aluminum driveshaft and some gears then diy tuning. car would feel amazing. and you could add the ls and six speed later for even more power if desired. you would then already have the support there for the ls power levels. some cars with full exhaust will need tuning, others wont. a gear change and exhaust will necessitate a chip tune. nitrous is usable but consider engine life in the long run. having to run the car on the nitrous setup all the time"just in case"is rather expensive in the fuel expense category. a turbo for a daily driver is actually a very good idea since it increases the VE of an engine based on load. search for fast355's or bmontess' 305 builds and then their consequent tuning threads and youll see that real power is atainable with a 305 and careful parts selection that wont necesarily break the bank .
