Aluminum Pot lid intake...
Ok, this is a "ghetto" intake for someone that does not want to cough up for an open element or already has a K&N filter. What you need is some fairly thick sheet metal that wont flex allot (Think stock cover thickness) drill a 1/4" hole and cut a 11 1/2' circle around it, swap it out for your stock cover and it should give you close to an open element filter (Wont flow AS much, but better than a single snorkler)
I happen to have found an old 12" aluminum pressure pot lid that I have cut the handles off of and fits like a charm, looks almost stock due to the edge on the lid. The concave in the lid means I wont need washers or anything and I think it will help with flow.
I am waiting for the primer to dry then hi-temp and I will try and get some pics of it installed.
I am sure this has been done a bazzilion times but I thought this up and thought I would share anyway.
