Ok, So I'm not really too sure what's going on. Got a few ideas, but don't have the $$ right now to just start replacin stuff.
It seems like everytime I fix something, within a week or so, something else gives. It started missing at a stop every now and then, it progressively got worse. It also used to only do it when it was really warm, not even on the first start of the day it's really bad. It starts right up, but seems to shake a bit I almost think it has something to do with the firing from a distributor pin all the way to the plug itself. I dunno where to begin, but it really seems like one cylinder isn't running correctly. (I only say this, because it seems like a timed pattern of misses.) I tried taking one spark plug wire off at a time, doesn't seem to change no matter which one i unplug. I've changed everything from the cap and rotor all the way to the plugs, that was back in December, I haven't replaced any of them yet, can't imagine it would be time already. I have a few pictures to add of the corrosion and buildup that I found. The other thing that is scaring me is that the bottom of the engine it sounds like it's pinging, either in the exhuast or the bottom of the engine, almost as if there are chunks of metal getting shifted around in the crankshaft. I've noticed a loss in oil here lately as well. Could this be conclusive?? Thanks for the help. I have another engine almost ready to drop in, only problem is that it's WAY to strong to drop right in without upgrading everything else I.E. trans/rear/suspension.. So hopefully that's not the case yet.

These were the pics..

On the inside pins of the distributor cap

corrosion on the rotor, looks like the same as like battery terminals get on them.

the end of the rotor pin, if you look down, you can see the corrosion there again as well.

Forgot to mention that we tried to do a diagnostic with the Snap-on ODB thing that my shop had, im pretty sure we did it all right, and it didn't give any codes, and every diagnostic we tried seemed to pass. I did however notice that my tach read 1200, when the ODB read 800, why would I be showing 400 off? This isn't my current problem, we can get back to this later, infact that is how my car has always sounded, at that same RPM, so i can get to that later.. The big thing is that the ODB didn't produce any codes, and it was the "up to 99, Chevy" chip..
