To start or not to start....
Unfortunately I live in the rustbelt and it looks like the weather is starting to take a turn for the worst. I'm gonna get my 91 in the garage this weekend and get her tucked in til spring. I was just wondering one thing about storing a car though. Do you guys start yours up during the winter. I usually start mine at least once every couple weeks and let it idle for about 10 minutes or so. I do this because I thought it was good for the engine to run every now and then. I have had many people tell me not to do this and it actually hurts the engine cos it increases the dry starts on a lot of the sensitive parts on the engine. When I pulled my spark plugs out of my heads this summer during my headswap they were really fouled up bad too (they only had about 1000 miles on them). My dad thought it may be from all that idling in the garage over the winter. Please let me know what you guys recommend. And any other tips on storing it would be much appreciated as well.
Thank you!
Thank you!
