New motor questions....

I am building a new motor for my suburban and my camaro is getting the motor from it...thats for another day tho..i have a 94 suburban with TBI 5.7...i am going back with a 5.7 vortec long block with the roller cam and such but will keep the TBI..i know there is a small difference in the cam sizes..my question is will the computer support it? or will it cause me serious probs..i dont have the stuff to burn proms and it will be at very least 6 mos till i may be able to get the stuff..and i have to get this motor swap done pronto...(kid #5 so totally snuck up on me...modern medicine sux btw lol ) i just dont want to screw up a new motor that i cant afford to replace again..so any advice is helpful and greatly appreciated...

Re: New motor questions....

i have been searching other threads and it has been sort of confusing..can you not run the 94 tbi water pump on a vortec? and keep reading about some type of bypass...??? i want to run a carb intake with a transdapt tbi adapter...anyways i will keep searching...if anyone can help i would be so very thankful.

What computer are we talking about?
If you're taking a 305 out of the car, and putting a 5.7 in it should be alright... but, with the Age difference, maybe not... I'm not experienced enough to answer, but,
I'm sure someone else will ask you the same question... Which computer are you asking about?
