90 tbi on an L31
hey guys glad to join and had a question about my setup to see if there are any suggestions for me appreciate the help.
i have a 90 350 tbi with flat top pistons a cam to big for the ecm a set of ported and pollished L31 heads and a thermomaster hypertech chip i also have the old chip in a box at work. i am going to build a new engine but my question is that i am going to use a 98 vortec block bored .030 over probably the same heads and intake but wanted to put a roller cam in it that i might be able to avoid buying or tunning another ecm chip. i am looking for torque and at low rpm (1000-2500 or so). also have 3.73 gear ratio. any suggestions?

Read "BUDGET TBI BUILDUP" in the sticky section above. Fast355 goes into great detail about how to build a low cost TBI 350 using parts you mentioned.

There is no way to avoid 'some' tuning as no two engines are alike.
