AFR 180's vs. E-TEC 170

Ok, for the money which set of heads would you get? Granted I durrently have an Edlebrock TBI intake, but to make the most power for the $$$ which heads taking into consideration of buying a new intake for the e-tec heads and possibly porting them to match the flow of the AFR's. This will go on a 350 with most likely a 215/218 dur cam.

Give me your thoughts,
Mike

You really can't go wrong with a set of AFRs. They make great power on almost everything they get bolted on top of. Saving the cost of a new intake would probably bring the total project cost down to about even between the two.

I have been thinking AFR's all along, but then I started thinking...all things equal e-tecs ported for almost identical flow, would the combustion chamber itself make the e-tecs the better choice? I mean if the design of the e-tec combustion chamber is more effecient, what would power be and would gas mileage be better?

AFR 180 is the better choice.
