Security issue?...wont run
Hi i have 90 rs with a 305.... the motor will turn over and start then die immediately. If im constantly feathering the gas it will keep running...or if i manually feather the TPS...sometimes the car with start drop in RPM's to almost nothing then it surges like its trying to stop itself from dying but then dies after that....if i spray carb cleaner into the throttle body then it will keep running until i stop spraying it...also just noticed if i keep the car running by feathering gas the security light stays on...i recently replaced the ignition cylinder and it has worked with the new cylinder for about 2 months before this new problem started
So far i have replaced
Fuel pump
Fuel filter
IAC
Cap and Rotor
So far ive tested/checked
Plugs and Wires
Ignition Module
TPS
Oil Pressure Switch
Injectors (both good spray pattern)

Security issue? Like VATS? If so then I doubt its that. I have replaced my column with an older one and connected a resistor with the right voltage to bypass it and even when I switch it off. The car still continues running.

im just guessing its a security issue bc i noticed that the security light was on....and im not saying that it has to do with the ingnition cylinder im just saying that i replaced it about 2 months ago and it worked fine.

VATS issue means the car won't start at all - so it's not a VATS issue. Looked at/tested injectors?

Judging from his post, He says they have a good spray patern.
What do you mean by on? For Myself the Security light comes on and turns off about 2-4 seconds after doing a half key turn. If what you meant was that it stays on for the whole time. Like CN said the car will not start at all and it will stay on until the correct voltage is inserted.

yeah i cleaned out the injectors and replaced the o rings and everything and the spray pattern is fine...and the security light actually stays on even when im throttling the gas to keep the car running....and what gets me is why will the car start then die but if i throttle the gas it will keep running but then if i gradually give it gas it gets a small burst of gas then dies

how do you test the injectors? all ive done is check the ohms and spray pattern as far as i know both are fine...if i uploaded a video of me starting the car and attempting to keep it running would that help you guys to see whats happening?
