Improving the stock intake manifold?

So awile back I puchased a 2" bore GM TBI intake and a 2" Throttle body to go with it. I have a 350 engine with waht I belive is stock heads and CAM for an 1988 Suburban.
Is there a way to bore the rest of the intake to improve flow? Is this somthing I should bother doing?
2nd question, is it true you can only make 300rwhp on the stock intake even with 2" bores?
