Fuel pressure gauge not working
I just finished installing braided hose fuel lines between the flex hose by the alternator and the TBI unit.
I installed a fuel pressure take off adapter (1/8 npt female) and gauge (1/8 npt male) at the connection near the alternator. When I start the car, the gauge doesn't seem to work (stays on zero).
I do believe I have the gauge on the inlet side since the hose its connected to runs to the passenger side opening on the throttle body. The car runs fine so I know the hoses aren't reversed.
Do I have a bad gauge or do I need to move the adapter and guage closer to the TBI unit in order to get a reading?

Re: Fuel pressure gauge not working
Make sure you have it on the larger hose, that is the feed side. Other than that, yeah it sounds like you got a bad gauge. It should give you a reading anywhere in the line on the feed side. I've had them connected just after the filter under the car and gotten a reading from it(was checking to see if the filter was clogged). As close as possible to the TB is the most accurate place, but anywhere close by should work too.
