Let me get this straight..Fuel ???
I have seen several threads advising the use of a TPI fuel pump in place of the TBI fuel pump....My question is will the TBI regulator be able to handle the additional fuel pressure???? Mine is the stock GM unit, made adjustable....What is the chief advantage of the TPI unit over the TBI...I have a feeling my fuel pump is about to go south on me, so I am thinking of swapping it out over the weekend...Any comments would be most welcome...thanks, Tom

The TBI fuel pump is not any worse then the TPI pump.
The TBI pump produces around 16 psi, vs around 50+ psi for the TPI and most port fuel injection fuel pumps. Stock, TBI uses around 12 psi and TPI around 47 psi.
Higher fuel pressure is a economical and effective way to increase fuel supply using smaller injectors. Second option to increase fuel supply, is to use higher flowing injectors.
The stock TBI FP regulator will work with the TPI fuel pump, it may add 1 - 2 psi, since your regulator is adjustable you can adjust it.
If you plan to go over 200RWHP with the stock injectors, the TPI fuel pump is a good option.

TPI and TBI use the same fuel lines, the ones on the TPI manifold are just a little shorter and go to a different place, but same type, material and connectors.
The TPI pumps should come with a little rubber hose and stronger hose clamps included, must be used.
Don't cut the exhaust, when you lower the axle you can pull the complete cat back out.
