okay i have a 90 camaro rs with 300,000 miles, im wanting to do an engine swap. i have a built 350 4 bolt main, medium cam, camelback heads,bored 20 over etc. im sticking with TBI but im having some trouble and a few questions. what is the difference between the 5.7 and 5.0 ESC modules? will i have to do anything to the 700r4 trans? will the PROM out of a 5.7 truck work? would a 255lph fuel pump work okay?

any help is greatly appreciated

 

Prom out of a truck will not work (different ECM). You can use the cop car chip, or burn your own.

There are differences in the 305 and 350 ESC. If you search, I think there is one that is preferable over the others. You will also need a new knock sensor. Make sure to only use ones for TBI trucks or cars with 350's that are 92 or earlier. The later ones are meant for use with the internal ESC modules in a PCM and are not compatible.

The 255 may be a bit much for the stock fuel pressure regulator. Youd probably be better off with a 190, unless you plan to do a lot of mods.
