More problems with the 305
My 92 RS died on me coming home from work last friday. The RPM"s were jumpin back and forth until it finally shut off. Ive been trying to figure out what it is for the past couple days but nothing has fixed it.
Ive replaced the spark plugs and wires, the cap and rotor button were completely fine, the distributor module checked out ok, we swapped the coil out and that didnt make a difference, checked the EGR valve, and nothing has made a difference.
When its cold and fired up it runs fine. If you put your foot on the brake the RPMs pulse a little and if you try and put it in gear it starts havin a fit, RPMs start jumpin around, it starts backfiring, and it will finally die, shooting fuel from up out of the throttle body. And once it warms up it doesnt even want to hardly run.
I was thinkin that maybe the MAP sensor or TPS is going bad, but then it could also be a vacuum leak, maybe from the intake?
Anybody have any ideas? Help would be greatly appreciated
