Just a couple quick things for the weekend...
Hey people, just a couple quick things for the weekend I have some ?'s about.
A lot of things need to be done and I want to get them done this weekend while it certain fluids will be out of the way. One of those things is checking and most likely fixing the seals on the intake manifold because I'm pretty sure it's leaking oil out of the rear of it (I'm praying to god it's not leaking out of the main seal). I don't really want to take the TBI unit off if I don't have to but I assume either way, I have to remove the fuel lines. I was wondering how exactly to relieve the fuel pressure safely? And will it start up safely after the lines are connected again? And as far as the intake manifold goes, I happen to have an extra one from a 350 lying around and was wondering if it would make any meaningful difference at all? If not, I'll sell it or something.
Also, I'm going to do a seafoam treatment as well and was wondering how long is it acceptable to keep the seafoam in the crankcase? (As far as distance, if possible.)
I'm going to be dumping the oil and coolant to change while I'm doing this. I also plan on changing the oil pressure sender, fan switch, coolant temperature sender, thermostat, and a few, if not all of the valve seals. Been getting smoke on startup.
Thanks much!
