I hope no one gets crazy on me here but I have a caprice with the l05 (But I do have a 83 trans am) and the impalassforum.com doesnt give me the information I need to get the performance I want there more lt1 people. I'm new here and I want to know what I need to do to swap out the old l05 heads to the vortec heads with the lt1 or the hotcam? From what I can see I need the lt1 cam from a 9c1 caprice or camaro and new valve springs and possiably a new timing chain and also a new intake to support a carb? I know it can be that simple im just looking for a better example? Any help is welcomed.
