I think i have a ground wire issue

I have a 1990 RS camaro with the LO3 and 5spd. Over all the car runs great, however two conditions make it cut out and stumble causing the SES light and security light to come on.

The first condition that affects the car is when im at a stop and start to release the clutch to start moving forward. If for any reason there is any chatter with the clutch the SES and security light will light up and then go right away as soon as the chatter is gone.

Secondly if im driving and hit a bump in the road or driving on a very rough road the SES light and Security light will again come on and the car will sputter/stumble and act like it will cut out until im back on smooth roads at which time the lights will go away and drivability returns to normal.

Im thinking i have a loose ground wire somewhere and would like some ideas as to where to start looking. Thanks.

Look on the back of your heads, trust me it will be a BITCH to get to but try to look back there to see if any of the grounds have come loose.

I will do that after work today, lets say i look back there and tighten the grounds and it still does the same thing. What other grounds are there for me to check?

Thanks for your reply,

Re: I think i have a ground wire issue

I poped the hood this weekend and checked out the ground wires on the back of the passenger side head. The bolt that holds the wires to the head is loose so soon as i touched the group of wires my car stumbled. I had my wife sit in the car while i moved the wires to see if i could get it to stumble again while she looked to see if SES light came on, she confirmed it, the SES light flashed when the car stumbled. It was late so i still have to tighten the bolt but i think the problem is solved.
