Want to install fuel pressure gauge.
Were is the best place to install one in my TBI bird and who sells adapters if one is needed, i want to install this gauge so it will be permanent not just to test fuel preassure, im gonna be buying an adjustable fuel preassure regulator soon and i want to know at what preassure im setting it so yeah. I know i can make my already stock fuel preassure regulator adjustable but i dont want to mess things up.

Try this,...them other guy's..well..let's just say..if you don't know better..
They have printed some real poo on their site.
http://www.rvmorsemachine.com/newproducts.htm
I ran -8 braided line from the tank so I put a normal -8 tap under the rig for Autometer's 2246 electric sender.

Re: Want to install fuel pressure gauge.
This is probably the best way to mesure FP, thoug its better to remove the gauge once set. https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/tbi/...sure-test.html

Re: Want to install fuel pressure gauge.
Yeah im upgrading to a Holley tbi and im ordering from RV morse to get a fuel pressure gauge on it so I can adjust. You can use the tbi parts one but mounting a gauge permanently is more difficult. I guess. I own a fuel pressure tester but it just seems easier to pop the hood and look!

Re: Want to install fuel pressure gauge.
Yes that is the adapter shown on thomas car. It is for a pressurized line,
and connects as you said.
You were talking about an adapter for permanent installation.
Most of us would assume that you wanted a gauge mounted in the passenger cabin.
Nobody in their right mind is going to advise you to install a pressurized fuel line in the passenger cabin, no way, no how.
You wanna live life on the wild side that bothers me not,
I strongly advise you to mount any pressurized line/gauge OUTSIDE the passenger cabin for obvious reasons.
Gauges inside are to be either electrical or connected via an isolator & glycol filled line.
and connects as you said.

Re: Want to install fuel pressure gauge.
Check out the "actron kit" xch3no2 posted in the "fuel pressure test" tread.
Can fit the T permanently as described, hook up the gauge only wenn mesuring fuel pressure.
The kit doesn't come with a cap for the T, but you can find a cap that fits.
The gauge has a long hose that allows to put the gauge under the wiper, this will help observe FP under load. (remove the gauge and hose after testing, do not test for over 3 minutes by driving, keep the hose away from the exhaust and engine. WERY IMPORTANT! if not BBQ)
I would not put a gauge permanently on the T adapter, at the rear of the TB or next to the alternator, doesn't matter.
For detailed questions about a particular part, contact the seller.

Re: Want to install fuel pressure gauge.
Hey btw thomas going offtopic here but since u have a nice TBI setup on your car i figured u could know something, what numbers do you think ill be able to push out of my stock 305, with a full 2.5in exhaust system from headers to tips , EBL tuned and with an intake upgrade(gonna swap a carb intake with the adapter) and ofc with a afpr. I figured atleast minimun 20-/+ HP could be squeezed out of the stock motor without having to swap heads and a cam, also a change in torque. Or i dont know since this motors came with such restrictive everything i think freeing up intake and exhaust and paired with a more appropiate tune this motor could make more than 20 extra horses from those boltons alone.

Re: Want to install fuel pressure gauge.
The kit shown on the Advance Auto site does NOT contain the correct adapter part (T) for TBI pressure testing. (the gauge is the same)
That kit (7818) would be used for testing a TPI system w/test port on the fuel rail.
Do some Google or Amazon shopping for the CP7817 (the correct kit) for your best price information.

Wenn I put the performer TBI intake on the LO3, absolutely no noticeable difference, though I never tried the carb intake.

Your estimation seems should be correct, though the intake manifold will not make a big difference.

http://www.summitracing.com/parts/EDL-3701/ Also found this Holley http://www.summitracing.com/parts/HLY-300-66/?rtype=10 wich is made for TBI so no need of adapters, it comes with 2inch bores i think so it seems like a better deal.
