Got a question, this is gonna make me sound REALLY stupid and i'm sorry...

I got an L03 i got a new spark plug wire set, plugs cap and rotor. Got under the car marked the piston numbers on the distributor and everything and got to spark plugs and i absolutely can not get at the b*stards from any angle, i'm having specific problems with one, i think piston 6. Right next to the 02 sensor and i got a 3/8 ratchet and an extension on it but then the wrench hits the exhaust manifold... does anybody have any kind of tips or tricks to help me out with this? cuz its about 4 degrees and i want my car back lol

 

put your car on ramps it makes it much easyer take your time the last 2 on each side you have to do from under the car i have done it 3 times now and use good plugs and wires and cap and rotor like msd cap rotor coil and wires and use ac delco rapidfire plugs they work the best

 

I've done it more times than I can count with a 3/8 ratchet & sparkplug socket. I always have to do at least two of them from under the car.

 

I am a big fan of a spark plug socket that you can buy through SLP and or ebay for $10. You slip it over the plug and then can use a wrench to break them loose. I have a $9 socket that I have used with the stock manifolds, and two different sets of headers.

 

Alright, thanks alot guys, I threw it up on ramps and got at at the last few of um, I've never owned a car you had to get under to get at the spark plugs for....

Yeah these cars were the beginning of the hard spark plug changes! Not too bad once you figure it out. Next time you will do them a lot faster!
