i have a 91 camaro rs with a 305 TBI. I recently rebuilt the engine due to bad piston rings. when i got the engine back in the car i am not getting an injector pulse. the key will not crank the engine and none of my indicator lights are coming on in the on position. Its like there is no on postion at all. Ive tried to bypass the vats and still i am not getting anything. My ECM has power coming in and out but still nothing. All the grounds are good and the battery is fully charged. I have a starter button i installed a while ago still in and that cranks the engine but the injectors arent spraynig at all. so if anyone can help at all please let me know. Thanks

 

Check your fusable links, sounds like your not getting power to the ignition switch.

my fusable links are putting power out i put a multimeter on them and they are putting out the same as my battery.

 

to rebuild the engine, did you yank the engine? If so, did you then add headers? Where do you have the negative battery cable attached? It's not to an aluminum accessory bracket is it?

Did you clip any of the ground wires that were on the rear of the engine and not reinstall them?

 

yes i pulled the engine and i hooked everything up the way it was removed i labled everything to make sure they go back to the right spot. my neg batt cable is grounded between the heads and the ac clutch pump brackette. there were no headers put on they original manifolds are on. the only i did was replace oil pump, crank was turned got the right main and rod bearings. basically i got a stock rings bearings and gaskette set.

 

k heres wat i did i just replaced the key lock cylinder and the key and still nothing. anymore suggestions cus if this isnt solved throwing the piece of crap off a cliff or selling it.
