starting problems
so after about a week of messing with the firebird. i drained the radiator and removed all the stuff took off water pump cleaned and painted it and removed the last of my emissions stuff and i also replaced the thermostat with a 160 degree one and my coolant temp sensor. now i got some serious starting issues. not sure what is going on. everything is put but together correctly.
what its doing is popping through the exhaust and backfires through the intake. i fooled with the timing and nothing. i finally get it to start and miraculously it actually started and idled at what looks to be 200 rpm and then stalls. i can get it to start and run if i step it with the clutch and gas at once(i think thats what its called, 2 step? ) but that gets it to start and it has serious issues when i rev it it catches on its self and starts popping also it sounds not normal like a really cammed out engine and its super loud. the exhaust sounds like its chambered. this is just about everything i know that its doing so im not sure if its going to help or not with solving the issue/
can someone tell me whats going on with my dang car? thanks

Re: starting problems
the egr has been gone. i got rid of that a long time ago never had any problems with it being off. no high idle or high temperates nothing it still hasnt effected the driving either. the car has shorty headers on it.
