2 coolant temp sensors?

I belive the TBI has 2 ect sensors, 1 for the gauge and one for the ecm. Which one gives teh input to teh scanner if you were monitering it on a snap on scanner? And which one is the one right next to the thermostat? Where is the other one?

Re: 2 coolant temp sensors?

The one next to thermostat feeds the ECM (and thus your scanner) the info - this one has 2 wires (yellow and black). The other one feeds the gauge, and is located in the driver side head between #1 and #3 spark plugs, has a single green wire to it.
