hey guys new to the forums....i have a 1990 camaro z28 5.0 tbi. i was in the military overseas and the car sat for about 6 years. it was run every once an awhile but it died a few years ago. im trying to bring it back to life. i replaced the sparkplugs,cap, wires, and it has strong spark. it will start with starting fluid but dies right away. i took off the injectors and cleaned them up beacuse they werent spraying right, replaced the fuel filter, checked all the fuses, and when i turn the key on the fuel pump can be heard running. i think i have enough fuel pressure, the only thing i noticed it when the key turns on the injectors dont prime....it will spary intermitantly when cranking but when it does start up with the starting fluid it doesnt spray the constant spray i remember....i have no idea what controls that....i am going to get a new throttle postioning sensor and see if that helps but im shooting in the dark at this point...hopefully im in the ballpark

 

you probably need to change teh fuel pump and sock and flush out the fuel tank, replace the fuel filter. gas turns to varnish and varnish doesnt flow like glass. so you got sticky injectors and everything. thats where id start
