Spacer ring on throttle body
Will removing the spacer ring when putting and open element air cleaner on boost performance? And will non-drop base cleaners fit without the spacer?

I run a raised one, it clears the throttle linkages. if you can get rid of that spacer do it.

Re: Spacer ring on throttle body
well its directs the air around the injectors better. They sell "salad bowl" made by hypertech called the powercharger which basically unshrouds the injector, when I went to an open element design it basically did this same thing so I discarded the powercharger. when I originally installed the powercharger it seemed like the car was sucking in more air, but I also did a flow thru top at the same time. (this was all on the stock air cleaner assembly. Now I run a KN Xtreme flow setup.

Oh ok, I'll probably just tame the ring off and if the cleaner fits then i'll leave it like that
