O-ring Size

Does anyone know the size of the O-ring that is on the hard fuel line going into the TBI? I tried a 5mm and it still seems to leak.

I think I saw a kit a Hawks , but I have some just wanted to try them before i bought something.

Re: O-ring Size

O'reillys...or well Kragen's used to sell a universal GM o ring kit (it has a bunch of brown o-rings in them) that had the right size in it. Other than that go to the GM dealer and get it. It's a lot easier than the trial and error. and be prepared to deal with getting that thing to stop leaking for awhile.

Re: O-ring Size

Wow, the entire country has O Reilly's Auto parts then they hit PA and stopped dead, no luck in NY.
They Have BWD - Fuel Injector Seal/O-Ring Kit Part # 27478
Hawks has this part O-Ring Kit, 85-92 TPI Fuel Line O-Ring Kit, GM Item Number: 6256/4722
I assume that is what I am looking for, I will try to look around locally see if anyone has it for the weekend than just order one on line, Hawks seems like a better deal .... its just I have a universal o-ring kit if I knew the size .....

Re: O-ring Size

that borg warner # may be correct. I dont know if the TPI o rings are the same. Id say maybe...your local GM dealer will have them for a couple bucks

Re: O-ring Size

That's a good link, I tried the O-ring without any luck. I am now wondering if the fuel line is damaged where it is flared and does not make the correct connection, it is not a slow or minor leak lots of gas dripping out.
I am on the hunt for another line. will post once I get further.

Re: O-ring Size

Fuel leak fixed just slapped an O-ring on and tightened the bejesus out of it, hoping it holds because it's never coming off. May still look for the line but now I have a part number and a place to find it.

Thanks guys for all the help.
