Have been following threads. Do not get spray at idle. 1990 formula 305 tbi. Revs okay, but seems to hesitate a little or not follow movement of throttle pedal. TPS seems to check ok 5v on one and fluctuates up and down smooth on other wire. Seems to get good solid cone spray at rev, but have to flutter the throttle to keep running. Will not stay running at steady throttle. Side note had to jumper relay at drivers side kick panel. Something wrong with vats? Don't know if this is my problem? Would like to disable vats. don't know how though. Magnetic p/u in dist is a little rusty. Car had been sitting for about a year and a half when I bought it. Tried to adjust timing with no change. Drained fuel tank and changed filter. Can here the fuel pump priming and running and like I said it does run, seems to run well except that when you hit throttle it seems to maybe load up a bit. Also tried the hairpin in aldl in the far right inputs and it does not activate the serv. light at all.

 

I would check fuel pressure.

 

Check the Idle air control (IAC) valve. Its on the side of the TB. You may also want to disassemble the TB and clean it and put all new internal filters and pressure reg thing (its all in the rebuild kit). I would also do a new fuel filter so you don't clog up the new clean TB There are companies that can clean your injectors for 20 apiece if you send them in.
