454 TBI ?

Looks like there are two designs for the 454 unit. Is one better than the other?
Looking for one for my 383 build for a 94 PU with a 4l60e trans.
Thanks

I think the difference is them is the tps & iac connectors. Some had higher psi injectors too.

Re: 454 TBI ?

They both have the same air flow characteristics, so either will be fine for you.

You know that you will have to bore out your intake manifold to 2 inches, right? And then you will need to put an adjustable fuel pressure regulator so that you can tune it in right.

My Truck is a 94 and so is the TBI from the 454 so I will guess the sensors will have the same plugs...

Re: 454 TBI ?

You have a good shot, at any rate!

I'd still bore out the stock intake and use it first; its aluminum and you may find that it gives you more bottom end, which you need for heavy vehicles. You can still port the hell out of it, too!

Then you need to pull the engine, trans, and ECM/wiring and drop it into an 82 Z28!
