problem not starting
I have a 92 camaro rs all factory 305 tbi.
Here is my problem,
One day all the sudden it started spitting while at a stop light like it wanted to die then all the sudden when I went to take off it died as if it ran out of gas.
I know there is gas in it cause I filled it up that morning.
I towed it home and checked to see if I was even getting fuel well if I spray started fluid in the throttle body it will start but only for a split second then die.
the fuel pump was replaced around 2 years ago I checked the fuse that is right next to the battery under the hood it is good.
all I know is it is not getting fuel so from what I have read on here it is more than likely 1 of 3 things fuel pump, fuel pump relay, or oil pressure.
first off is it the fuel pressure switch that can cause the fuel pump to not run or is it the fuel pressure sensor.
my question is how do I test the fuel pump and these other items if I can my book does not really tell me clearly how to test these.
If this has already been covered I appoligize.
Also I'm trying to avoid dropping the gas tank unless I end up having to replace the pump due to it having 3/4 of a tank.
