Would you do it all over?

Got a question for all you tbi wizzes out there! I'm in the middle of turning my crossfire 305 to a tbi 350, so I will be doing a newer computor swap, burning proms, learning how to do all of it, lots of research and trial and error. I'm wondering if it is worth the cost and hassle, or would I be better off in the long run to save up some extra cash and do a lt or ls swap? Will the end result of the tbi be similar in comparison in performace, economy and smoothness that the lt and ls engines do so well? I want to make sure I'm happy with it and don't mind the labor involved, just want to do it once and drive it!

With my experience in engine swaps being limited, I will say that no matter what platform you swap to there are a ton of details that need to be ironed out. I swapped to a TPI setup from a TBI setup and the accessory brackets were a nightmare for me as I didn't get a set when I bought the intake. If I had a manual or was planning on having a manual (not have to deal with a 700R4) it is likely I would probably go with an iron block LS. They are cheap enough now and make great power with minimal mods. That being said an L05 has plenty of potential to make good power on a beer budget especially with some head porting. Not only that but the parts out there on the secondary market are vastly larger than the LS series stuff. You're talking an engine that has been modified since the 50s versus one that came into existence less than 15 years ago.

I understand that any swap will have lots of details and be time consuming, I'm just trying to decide what direction to invest in.
