when replacing the stock pump
when replacing the stock tbi pump with an ep241, do you have to readjust the fuel pressure? ~13 pound regulator should stay there should it not? also there is an insulation sleeve that came with my install kit, how many of you have left that sleeve off? seems to me it's used to keep noise down but i was figuring that if it was left off the pump may run cooler.

Re: when replacing the stock pump
In theory, it *should* stay, but I wouldn't count on it. I'd be ready with a gauge and such to adjust it.
I would not leave the sleeve off. The pumps are cooled internally by the fuel flowing through them, and the heat that would bleed off through the outside surface would be marginal.

run the sleeve. and the regulator determines pressure not the pump. the pump delivers fuel volume.
