fuel pressure

Well I am finally putting in the 350. Could you tell me again how I figure out what fuel pressure I need to run? I think I have 62# injectors and I have the AFPR set for 25 rite now. Will that get me going enough befor I do the fine tuning. I have an EBL that I need to figure out how to program. Which one do I need to get rite? The motor is a 330hp rated vortec crate motor.

Re: fuel pressure

It would be best to check which injectors you are using. The common 5.7l injectors are 61 #/hr. Fire up the EBL Utility and go down the left side clicking on the appropriate radio buttons and entering the correct data:

TBI, 8, 350, 25, ??, 61, 2, 1, 5

Note that the ?? is the check box for a vacuum referenced FPR (VRFPR). So set it or unset it according to your set up.

The last one (5) is for which version of Tuner Pro is being used. If using a VRFPR it is important to set it to the version of Tuner Pro that you are using.

Now on the right it shows that at 25 psi the 61 #/hr injectors can support 320 HP. Which may be a little low for that engine. Can try it first and find out, or bump the fuel pressure to 27 psi.

Now copy the data from the "BPC - BPC vs VAC" column in the utility and paste it into that table in Tuner Pro. Save the BIN, and flash it into the EBL.
