Swapped intake causing shift points to be off

So I recently swapped out my intake on my 91 rs with tbi with an aftermarket edelbrock. The intake was slightly higher then the stock intake so I believe that it messed with the tv cable. I messed with it a little bit trying to adjust it back to where I thought it should be but I think I successfully made it worse because now it slams into drive and the shift between 1st and 2nd is really hard and waits till 3k rpm no matter how hard I'm accelerating.

I want to try to understand exactly what it's doing when I lengthen or shorten it before I go messing with it. Can anyone explain it to me? Never had to deal with one before.

Thanks

Re: Swapped intake causing shift points to be off

Changes the line pressure. To adjust it push in the D tab and pull the cable housing toward the firewall. Now fully open the throttle at and by the lever arm on the TBI unit (NOT by the go-pedal).

The TV cable is now adjusted.
