heater hose goes here???

89 rS tbi 350.
The PO removed the a/c and heater from my car before I got it.
I am re-installing everything.
I'm not sure if the intake came from a truck or camaro tbi.
There is NO where to put the heater hose.
I know one hose goes to the radiator.
But; there is no nipple on the front of the intake, ONLY on the rear of the intake...next to the distributor. Is that really where it goes?
Or,,,should I remove the rear nipple and put it on the water pump.
Never had a TBI before; so I really don't know where to put the other hose.
I looked at tons of tbi pictures; but there is so much stuff on them I cant see the heater hose.
thank you tbi-guys
mike

Yeah, use the rear nipple, there's a coolant channel the runs under the tbi mount, it helps heat it up in cold weather. That's why the nipple location is different then the traditional intakes.
Anything behind the water pump is pressurized, so you couldn't hook up to the heater core from the top of the water pump or radiator, it won't heat or flow well.. One has to come from the intake.

Re: heater hose goes here???

Thank you SO much, I would not have "ever" guessed that it went back there.
I just thought that something weird was going on back there.
Also; the intake gasket has "restrictor plates" in the back water passage, I would have left them out...I guess that they are correct also.
thank you
