How to improve a LO5 motor
I have a LO5 motor out of a 1993 Roadmaster. I'm looking to get 300 hp of it. How do I do it? By the way I want to keep it TBI.

Re: How to improve a LO5 motor
Well that would get you an additional 40-50 horse, right? L05 is 205 - 210 horse? L31 Vortec is 255? You'd still have a way to go to get to 300. Are the Vortec 4bbl. intake and duals good for another 45 horsepower?

The TBI in stock form will only support about 250 Hp,so,you need work there as well. The LT1 cam,Vortecs, good exhaust, along w/some tuning will get ya in the ballpark.

They flow about 490 cfm stock, 540 after ultimate TBI mods, fueling is only good to about 200 HP @ 12 psi.
