Lt1 cam in a Lo5?

I have a 1993 Roadmaster LO5 motor. It's a factory roller motor and I'm going to swap it in my 1991 Camaro. I'm looking to swap cams and put different heads on it. But I'm curious, what cam should I put in it? I was thinking about a LT1 cam. Any suggestions? I'm looking to 270-300 hp out of it. And I'm keeping it TBI.

If your doing all that work why not get an aftermarket cam. that way your not limiting yourself at just the LT1's specs. I went with a 450 lift .264/.275 duration, or something of the like (lost cam card) its pretty mild but its a little bigger than the lt1's. Has a really nice idle. This was also put in a L05.

If you're gonna swap heads & do other mods, you need to get all that nailed down 1st before deciding on a cam.pick a cam based on your use & setup.Don't build around a certain cam.Your HP goals are modest for 300 HP. It really depends how much you wanna spend & how much effort you wanna put into.A set of Vortecs, mild cam,TB mods & some tuning will hit that # w/o a lot of effort.Honestly'you could prolly get close w/o the Vortecs.

Basically all you need to do is swap out the block. You can use your intake and everything else on top, but you will need to swap over to 350 TBI ESC module, injectors, knock sensor and need some kind of custom chip.
