84 Z28 carb 305 switch to TPI 350?

84 Z28 carb 305 switch to TPI 350?

Hey everyone I have an 84 Z28 stock 305, I have an aggressive shift kit installed in the 700R4 tranny, now I bought a 350 block that is cracked but it has a ton of aftermarket on it, including the fact that it is tune port injected, I just don't know what I need to switch it over. There's a ton of information on here and I don't know what to sift through. The motor I bought has holly fuel injectors, an over-sized crane camshaft, edelbrock headers, a rebuilt alternator pushing 80amps with a chrome pulley, the waterpump has an aluminum pulley on it. Now on my car I already pulled the smog pump and AC pump off of it and all it's components so what will I need exactly to swap this motor? Any help or guidance is appreciated.

My advice would be to buy a not-cracked 350 block, swap your parts over, and drop it in.

...and hope that "aggressive shift kit" doesn't split the sun shell, or any of the other hard parts. An '85 700 trans isn't one of the best cores to start with.

I have a 4 bolt main 350 block not cracked, just trying to figure out what would be the best approach before i stick it in the car, it's easier to do everything now while it's on the motor stand. What do I need to do to switch it over from carb. to TPI?
