new to the group with vacuum issues.

I have an 87 Chevy r10 that I bought about 10 years ago and have slowly been rebuilding. As the truck sits its a stock bottom end, vortec headed 350, with a Holley 670 cfm tbi, long tube headers, and I deleted the air pump in the reinstalation. Buy now once the truck gets alittle heat built in the block it won't stay running do to a vacuum line issue but I seem to be having a problem finding out what I need to change veins I deleted the air pump, do I need to change something or will I have to buy a chip for it to accept that there isn't a air pump anymore? Any advise would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.

Holley TBI's are known for issues. Make sure that your MAP sensor is on the manifold vacuum fitting. If I recall correctly the Holley TBI uses a different port for the MAP sensor than the stock GM. Other than that you will need a a correctly tuned chip for the vortec setup.

Ok thanks for the advice, what would be a better choice for an aftermarket tbi for that truck? Also who would be a good tuner in the Kansas city area for the tbi?
