Need help with 350 TBI

Okay so was gonna give my 1990 350 tbi a new new distributor, rotor, wires, spark plugs because its running very rich. Well I changed just the spark plug wires and the car ran way better than it ever has. I parked the car and messed with an air hose which I accidentally ripped off (sort of the air hose wasn't attached because the guy before me electrically taped a wire to the air hose) so I tried using heat wrap just because I didn't have anything else and I got the hose where I was capable for blowing through it so I figured it'd be better than before. But then later on that night I went to drive the car and it didn't run for ****. The idle sounds way rough and the engine seems like it wants to jump out of the hood. I know it sounds like I mixed up my wires but I'm positive that's not the case as it started right up afterward and I compared it to a friends el caminos spark plugs and they were the exact same. So not knowing what else to do I changed the distributor cap and rotor, didn't fix it. I changed 6 out of my 8 spark plugs (didn't change the last two because I need a jack to get under the car there's not enough room towards the back of the engine) but that still didn't help. I tried switching a couple of my spark plug wires to the original ones but still to no avail my engine seems like it wants to jump out of my car and its never acted like this.

By air hose do you mean something part of the air cleaner assembly? If so possible you ripped off a vac line, check lines.

Re: Need help with 350 TBI

It's just a little hose that hooks up under the throttle body and goes to this round metal piece on my throttle body but it couldn't be this significant to cause an engine to entirely not work. Not to mention there was an electric wire taped onto this no air would've been able to get through even before I ripped it off.

And I tried using shrink wrap and it was the exact same size so it should've been able to get air flow through just fine but I ripped it off once I had the engine problems thinking it possibly could've been the problem.

Take a picture. You probably made a vacuum leak.
