i have a tbi 305 H.O in my 1991 camaro rs and the only thing ive done to it is a full exhaust and some ignition work 8mm wires accel spark plugs,and accel ignition coil,took the cat out and took out the air pump out now the problem im having is my fuel pumps are not lasting as long as they should is the problem that i need a better brand fuel pump? or do i need a slightly stronger one? because ive been using acdelcoand if i need a stronger one what brand do you suggest and what lph

 

Is your fuel pump problem electric or mechanical?

How many amperes does it draw with the engine running?

How much voltage does the pump harness wire have, when testing near the pump with the engine running? How much voltage is on the ground wire, when testing near the pump with the engine running?

How much pressure does it provide at full throttle, maximum RPM?




The USUAL cause of failed replacement pumps is debris in the tank. Was the tank properly cleaned when the replacement pump was installed?

 

tank was brand new and i still clean it before installation the filter,the sending unit all the lines all the way up to the motor fuel injectors were all brand new and replaced at that the same time. its an electronic fuel pump. wire with engine off key on has 12 volts
the others test ill have to see
