Crank, no fuel to injectors. Vats?
Hi,
I just spent the afternoon tightening my steering column bolts. After I reassembled everything, I went to start my car and it won't fire. I have crank but no fuel to the injectors. I have a code 53 and sec light is on solid. My FP is less than a month old, my alternator is lest than a year old and I have new spark plugs, wires, cap and rotor. The previous owner had soldered the spare key to the vats wires under the steering column and the car has worked perfectly up until this point. I pulled it into the garage to tighten the steering wheel and now I can't get it running. Any help would be appreciated as this is my daily.
Thanks,
-Jake

I've experienced this problem a few times in the past and it was either a bad ICM or the connector was loose and not making good contact on the prongs of the ICM under the distributor cap. You could possibly pull the cap and try moving the connector around while someone cranks the motor over and see if the injectors spray? Or take it in to have it tested. Im sure there's other issues that could cause this but for me it was the ICM first time it went bad second time it was a loose connection from me installing the new one. It left me stranded a couple of times and took me awhile to narrow it down I thought it was my fuel pump as well.

It might be the ICM, I'll find out. I just had it dropped off to a local mech that has a specialty in f bodies.
